The SMA Solar Academy operates across the globe. It maintains permanent facilities in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Our original training center in Germany has won awards for architectural design and energy usage. Many trainings are also hosted via mobile learning environments and are therefore available worldwide.
SMA’s permanent North American learning facility sits near the capitol of California, which also happens to be the capitol of the continent’s solar industry. Based in Rocklin, California, the Solar Academy is 20 minutes east of Sacramento, nestled west of the Sierra Nevada Foothills. With both string and central inverter training labs, attendees can get hands-on experience with inverter, communication, and control solutions for the residential, commercial, and utility PV and storage markets.

SMA Middle East does not have an official operating Solar Academy, but is able to offer training to customers on site or via webinars, and on a small scale from the office in Dubai.
We are able to provide expertise and advanced training to customers on SMA products and photovoltaics. We consider the latest trends, new developments, and current topics in the Middle East field to deliver customized trainings suited for distributors, installers, EPCs, and individuals with basic solar knowledge. Our trainings focus mainly on Residential & Commercial solutions with additional trainings offered for Off-grid & Storage when requested with the core emphasis of SMA products.
